Grateful, Thankful, Blessed

I haven’t posted much in the last week or two because, admittedly, I’ve been enjoying a whirlwind summer with my family. I’ve actually been painting a lot! Just have not been on the computer as much. Here are a few of the pieces I’ve been working on.

I was asked to do a house warming gift and loved the idea of doing something simply stated. I chose to use barn wood in a longer length…something that could hang over a doorway or sit on a mantle. I can see a piece like this being a fun gift for grandparents, used at a wedding, or even without names to adorn a holiday mantle.

I was also dabbling with some old milk jugs my neighbor found in her barn. There was so much rust covering them, it was a pleasant surprise to find some cool markings on them once the rust was removed (thanks to my super patient husband!)  Notice my super cool hydrangea that are half pink, half blue:)

Of course, I couldn’t let Father’s Day go by without celebrating one of the best Dad’s in the world…my husband! This is pretty fitting…

And finally, there were teacher gifts and end-of-school year thank yous galore. This was a fun little one for our favorite bus driver, Mr. Bob.

More on the drawing table this week, so stay tuned!
