Happy Mother’s Day! It was such a beautiful day Happy Mother’s Day! It was such a beautiful day here and I spent the morning running with good friends, drinking mamosas, visiting my mom, eating town spa pizza and my favorite chocolate chip ice cream (with jimmies!) and hanging out with my kids and husband. Feeling very blessed indeed. Yet another reason I feel blessed on a daily basis is the work I get to create. I was asked to recreate a favorite cookie recipe using a grandmother’s handwriting except the recipe did not exist! I was able to sample her handwriting from other recipes to create the words as they most likely would have been written. Careful consideration has to be given to the subtle differences in the letterforms. For instance, an e at the end of a word looks very different than the e in the middle of a word. It was a painstaking process but I’m thrilled with the result!
